We are looking for an experienced Software Developer in Test to design and develop a robust testing framework for backend services, covering unit and integration testing. Responsibilities
- Execute backend tests and analyze test results
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests
- Maintain and expand automated testing frameworks for backend applications
- Add and extend test coverage with new unit and integration tests
- Debug test failures
- Actively participate as a member of an Agile/Scrum team
- Interact with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and define the scope of testing
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Engineer / Software Engineer in Test / Tester or in a similar role in backend automation tests
- Strong experience (3+ years) in test automation
- Solid knowledge of Java or Kotlin
- Experience with Gradle for build and test automation
- Hands-on experience with JUnit
- Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of API testing and backend services
- Experience working with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk
- In-depth knowledge of defect and test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Xray)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and on large-scale projects
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Fluent English (B2+) for collaboration with a German client
- Collaborative mindset, proactive attitude, and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
